W.B. Saffell Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a non-chill-filtered bourbon in a 375ml bottle, made as a blend of Kentucky straight bourbons aged 6, 8, 10 and 12 years.
It recreates the bourbon of William Butler Saffell, who began distilling as a teenager and built his first distillery in 1889, northwest of Lawrenceburg. His whiskey was a delicate, golden Kentucky bourbon, made with a reputed hand-made sour mash.
The flavour is described as complex spice, caramel and wood, with notes of creamy vanilla and dried fruit.
