W.L. Weller Full Proof Bourbon (75cl, 57%)

This is a wheated bourbon, built on the original recipe of William Larue Weller, who used wheat in place of rye. It is bottled at 114 proof, the same strength the spirit had when it went into the barrel. It is non-chill-filtered, so the residual oils and flavours from distillation and ageing stay in the bottle. At cold temperatures it may turn slightly cloudy. The nose offers vanilla, dark cherries and caramel. On the palate, caramel and toasted oak sit in balance. The long finish brings crème brûlée and chocolate.
