W5 Double U Five Black Label is a blended whisky from the 1970s, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
It combines the sweetness of grain whisky with malt character. The nose is mainly sweet and malty, with subtle dried fruit and toasted grain, and light touches of old oak over a slightly dry background. The palate is soft, light to medium in body, with faint herbal notes and a memory of homemade caramel.
The finish is short to medium, mostly dry, warm and clean, with subtle woody hints.
