Weller Antique 107 The Original Wheated Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 53.5%)

Weller Antique 107, also known as Old Weller Antique, is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, in a 750ml bottle. It is the highest proof expression in the standard Weller range, bottled at 107 proof (53.5%). The recipe uses wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain after corn, following the wheated style William Larue Weller pioneered in the 19th century. The whisky is matured in new charred American oak. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, dried apricot and warm baking spice, with floral and red fruit notes. The palate is full and concentrated, with toffee, soft wheat grain, cherry, orange zest and gentle oak. The finish is long and warming, with caramel and cinnamon.
