Weller Antique 107 The Original Wheated Bourbon (1L, 53.5%)

Weller Antique 107, known as red label Weller, is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort. It is bottled at 53.5% (107 proof) in a 1 litre bottle. The mashbill is corn, wheat and malted barley with no rye, and the whiskey is matured in new charred American oak. The wheated recipe goes back to William Larue Weller, who used wheat in place of rye as the secondary grain. It pours a rich amber. The nose is vanilla, toffee, honey, baking spice and toasted oak. The palate is full bodied, with caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with oak, spice and lingering sweetness.
