Weller Special Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 45% (90 proof). Its mash bill is wheated, with wheat taking the place of rye.
The nose is gentle, with caramel, vanilla and light oak. The palate is soft and smooth, with honeyed grain, brown sugar and mild cinnamon spice. The finish is clean and mellow, fading warmly through sweet oak and toasted nuts.
