Westward American Single Malt Rum Cask is an American single malt from Portland, Oregon, in a 75cl bottle at 45% ABV. It is made from 100% malted barley fermented with ale yeast, and produced in small batches.
The whiskey was aged in new American oak and then finished in Caribbean rum barrels. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose offers brown sugar, toffee, tropical fruit and molasses. On the palate come spiced caramel, rum-soaked raisins, toasted oak and banana bread. The finish is long, smooth and slightly warming, with lingering vanilla and a little citrus.
