Westward Cask Strength American Single Malt Whiskey (50%)

Westward Cask Strength is an American single malt bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It takes an unusual route through the orchard: the distillery's seasoned barrels were first lent to 2 Towns Ciderhouse to make Bad Apple Cider, then brought back for a second maturation of the whiskey. That cider-barrel finish gives the malt its character, and the notes lean towards apple throughout. The nose offers citrus, caramel apple, orchard fruits and beeswax. On the palate come apple blossom, stewed pineapple, dried apple slices and toasted walnuts. The finish brings apple turnover, mellow oak, vanilla, dried cherries and banoffee pie.
