Whipper Snapper Single Malt Australian Whiskey, Wheatbelt Series (70cl, 48%)

Whipper Snapper Single Malt is a four-year-old Australian single malt from the distillery's Wheatbelt Series, bottled at 48% as a single barrel release in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first signature single malt, which began operating in 2013. It is made from Spartacus barley grown in the Western Australian Wheatbelt and malted in Perth. Fermentation is in open-top vessels, the spirit is run through a hybrid column still, and the whiskey was aged in Perth's Mediterranean climate. The nose is light and floral with sweet candy, vanilla and honey. On the palate come soft vanilla, caramel, green apple, stewed pears and nutmeg, and the finish is light toffee, dark spices and tobacco.
