Whiskey Acres Distiller's Reserve Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

This is a straight wheated bourbon from Whiskey Acres Distilling Co. in DeKalb, Illinois, bottled uncut at cask strength in a 750ml bottle. The distillery is an on-farm operation, and the family grows, mills, mashes, ferments, distills and ages the whiskey on its own fifth-generation farm. The mash bill is 75% yellow dent corn, 15% soft red winter wheat and 10% malted barley, matured in 53-gallon new American oak barrels with a number 3 char. Sweet corn and caramel lead the palate, with wheat softness and vanilla through the middle. The finish is long and warming, with oak and spice.
