A 12 year old single malt from Mannochmore in Speyside, bottled by WhiskyDudes. It was distilled in February 2012 and matured in a hogshead, then spent two years in a first-fill PX barrique, a cask dating from 1981, before bottling in April 2024.
It was bottled at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The outturn was 162 bottles.
The nose is an old-school sherry profile of old oak, shoe polish, plenty of cherries and whipped cream. The palate is soft and gentle, with vanilla, brown sugar and prunes giving a treacly sweetness. The finish brings red fruits with a hint of orange.
