WhistlePig 15 Year Old Estate Oak is a straight rye whiskey bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is the distillery's oldest whiskey and the first WhistlePig finished in Vermont oak harvested from its own farm.
The rye is 100% rye sourced from Canada, finished in barrels made from that Vermont oak and bottled in Vermont.
The nose is caramel, vanilla and oak with allspice and burnt orange. The palate is warm, rich and slightly creamy, with butterscotch, baking spice, leather and a hint of tobacco. The finish is very long, rich and warm.
