The Boss Hog XI: The Juggernaut is a hand-bottled straight rye from WhistlePig, made at WhistlePig Farm and bottled at 52.4% ABV. It was aged in new American oak and finished in Thandai barrels, a nod to the Indian drink of nuts, spices and milk. This bottle comes from Barrel 01 of the eleventh Boss Hog edition, a limited release.
The nose is sweet vanilla and oak with exotic spice. Bold rye spice leads the palate, with honey, clove and a subtle floral note. The finish is long and warming, with a spicy kick and lingering sweetness.
