White Heather 21 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 48%)

This is a 21-year-old blended Scotch whisky from White Heather, a brand that was discontinued in the 1980s and acquired in 2017 by the GlenAllachie Distillers Company, led by Billy Walker. It is the company's first blend and was made as a small batch with an unusually high share of single malt, including vintage GlenAllachie. After blending, the whisky spent a further three years in a mix of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons and Appalachian virgin oak. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle, limited to 2000 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes describe heather honey, butterscotch, peat and soft tannins on the nose, with orange peel and a clear presence of peat and smoke on the palate.
