Widow Jane – 10 Year Old Bourbon Tequila Ocho Cask Finish (75cl)

This is Widow Jane's 10 year old bourbon, finished in casks that previously held Tequila Ocho. The two brands share an owner, Heaven Hill, and the release follows earlier work in which Tequila Ocho aged its tequilas in used Widow Jane barrels. The bourbon was blended from five barrels, reduced from its usual barrel entry strength and finished for eight months in rehydrated Ocho casks. It is the first time Tequila Ocho has released casks from its aged expressions for whiskey maturation. The bourbon base is described as seasoned oak and brown sugar with tobacco, fudge and coffee bean, joined by earthy, herbal and mineral notes from the tequila casks.
