Widow Jane Lucky 13

Widow Jane Lucky 13 is a bourbon aged for a minimum of thirteen years in a rick house in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It is made in hyper small batches of little more than a handful of barrels, is non-chill-filtered, and is proofed with limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines of New York. The barrels have lived through widely varying temperatures and humidity, and their different positions in the rick house have led to subtle differences in flavour. The nose offers vanilla bean, Earl Grey tea, caramel and sweet tobacco. On the palate come pecan pie, whole grain toast and grapefruit peel, and the finish brings nutmeg, birch beer and dry oak tannin.
