A straight bourbon aged ten years in American oak and bottled from a single barrel, number 1758, with the year 2018 recorded on the label. It is bottled at 45.5% (91 proof), and the brand proofs it with limestone mineral water from the Widow Jane Mine in Rosendale, New York, which gives Widow Jane its name.
The nose combines vanilla, caramel and honeyed oak with dried cherry, orange peel and warm baking spice. The palate is soft, with brown sugar, dark chocolate, toasted nuts and stewed fruit over cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and mellow, with oak, leather and a sweet caramel close.
