This is a 4 year old small batch rye whiskey from Willet Family Estate, in a 750ml bottle. It was aged in white oak barrels and bottled at cask strength, 54.5% (115 proof).
The nose is brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry, opening with time to cinnamon and baking spices and a hint of oak. The palate is robust, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and spice, and a weighty mouthfeel. The finish is long, with spice leading and cherry coming through.
