Williamson 2015 9 Years 5th Anniversary Whisky Bibliothek (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a 9 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled under the Williamson name by Decadent Drams for the 5th anniversary of Whisky Bibliothek. It was distilled in 2015, bottled in 2025 at 57.1% and filled into 244 bottles of 70cl. It matured entirely in a second fill sherry hogshead, which adds structure and spice while peat, salt and citrus remain, alongside dark fruit and leather. The nose has peat smoke, sea spray, embers, leather and a hint of iodine. The palate is powerful and oily, with smoked malt, salted caramel, dried fruit and sweet spice. The finish is long, warm and smoky, with sherry, salt and ash.
