This is a 15 year old Glenlossie single malt from Speyside, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Wilson & Morgan at 52.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 207 bottles were filled.
It was finished for 16 months in a former Pedro Ximenez cask, which gives a deep mahogany colour.
The nose is fairly sweet and aromatic, with raisins, dried plums, camphor and old furniture wood, plus a bitter hint of cocoa and coffee. The palate opens tannic and woody, with deeply roasted coffee, then herbal liqueur and toasted bread. Raisins, cola, toffee and chocolate emerge, especially with water, before tannins and a burst of pepper return at the end.
