Winglore Nickel on the Grass American Single Malt (75cl, 50.3%)

Winglore Nickel on the Grass is an American single malt whiskey from Winglore Spirits in Virginia, bottled at 50.25% ABV (100.5 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The name draws on military aviation heritage, referring to a fighter pilot tradition of honouring fallen comrades. It is distilled from 100% malted barley at a single distillery and aged in oak casks. The nose offers toasted cereal, honey, baking spice and dried orchard fruit, with a little oak char beneath. The palate is rich and malty, with caramel, honeycomb, cinnamon, black pepper and toasted walnut. The finish is medium-long, with oak tannin, malt sweetness and a touch of smoke.
