This is an 11 year old Auchentoshan from Wm Cadenhead's Original Collection, a Lowland single malt bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Auchentoshan triple distils its spirit, and the Cadenhead range is bottled from single casks bought from the distillery. Cadenhead has been trading since 1842 and is owned by J & A Mitchell, the Campbeltown firm that also owns Springbank.
The nose is fresh citrus and green apple over light malt and soft vanilla. The palate is clean and delicate, with vanilla, pear, soft cereal and gentle oak spice, and the finish is crisp and dry, with citrus zest and light oak.
