Wolfburn 7 Year Old Cask Strength is a limited edition from Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery, released in 2022. It was matured for over seven years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon quarter casks, and bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.2% ABV. The outturn was 1,840 bottles.
The nose offers vanilla, toffee, caramel and sweet sherry. On the palate come chocolate truffles, sticky toffee pudding, dried fruits and gentle peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with caramel, demerara sugar, oak spice and soft smoke.
