Wolfburn – Aurora (70cl, 46%)

Wolfburn Aurora is a sherried single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was laid down in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, which were brought together at the end of maturation. It comes from a long fermentation and a slow, gentle distillation, with the casks filled on site in the distillery's own purpose-built warehouses. The nose is sherry sweetness, then freshly cut grass and autumn fruits, with a hint of coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, floral tones lead into spice and vanilla, with fruit and nut flavours and a warm, soft finish.
