Wolfburn Aurora is a Highland single malt from Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, in a 35cl half bottle. It is made from unpeated spirit matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and the sherry brings sweetness and fruit.
It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with sherry sweetness, freshly cut grass and autumn fruits, with subtle coffee and dark chocolate. The palate is floral and gently spiced, with vanilla, fruity sweetness and a fruit-and-nut character. The finish is warm, soft and gently lingering, with the sherry influence lasting to the end.
