Wolfburn – Batch 204 Madeira Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)

A small batch single malt from the Wolfburn distillery, number 204 in the series, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle with natural colour. The whisky matured for five years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a further six months in ex-Madeira casks. 5,800 bottles were filled. The nose is typically described as sweet wine, baked apple and raisins. The palate is sweet with a full mouthfeel, bringing plums, ripe pear, vanilla, oak, caramel and dark chocolate fondant. The finish stays sweet.
