A twelve year old straight bourbon from World Whiskey Society, aged in American oak and then finished in black currant brandy casks. It is a limited edition, non-chill-filtered and bottled with no added colour, in a cathedral-shaped decanter topped with a pewter dragon.
The brandy cask finish adds fruit sweetness and a dark berry richness to the bourbon.
The nose brings black currant, rich oak, caramel, vanilla, dark berries and warm spice. The palate is full and rounded, with ripe currant, brandy-soaked fruit, toasted oak, honey, baking spice and soft caramel. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering fruit sweetness, oak and gentle spice.
