Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey, aged for twelve years or more and bottled at 46% without chill filtration.
It is made from a blend of casks that previously held bourbon, sherry and Malaga. The Malaga casks add an exotic note and a slight sweetness.
The tasting notes begin with honey sweetness and pot still spice, then fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate and crème brûlée, with red apples and toasted oak. The finish stays sweet, ending on red grape and dry barley.
