1770 Glasgow Peated Cask Strength Batch 2 (70cl, 60.7%)

This is a limited, cask strength bottling of the peated single malt from the Glasgow distillery, Batch 2, at 60.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The malt is dried over Highland peat to 50 ppm. The nose combines smoky barbecue sauce, tobacco leaf and smoked Iberico ham with blackberries and poached plums. On the palate sweet barbecue smoke meets grilled pineapple and banana, roasted coffee beans, dried apricots and flamed orange peel. The finish is long and intense, with sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, raisins and sultanas, and toasted oak beneath.
