This is the peated single malt in the Glasgow 1770 Signature Range, in a 50cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is made from malted barley dried over peat, with water from Loch Katrine, and distilled in traditional copper pot stills.
The whisky matured in new oak casks and was finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is sweet smoke and caramel with vanilla, dried dark fruit, cracked black pepper and a hint of flamed orange. Tobacco leaf, dark caramel and cocoa come through on the palate, with soft peat and sage. The finish is long and smooth, with salted caramel, liquorice and lingering spice.
