Glasgow 1770 The Original Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Glasgow 1770 The Original is a Lowland single malt from Glasgow Distillery, which opened in 2014 as the first distillery in the city for more than a century. It is made from local barley and water from Loch Katrine. The mash is fermented for 72 hours and distilled in specially designed copper stills. The spirit is matured in former bourbon casks and given a finish in new American oak. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring. It is described as fruity and soft, with notes of honey, vanilla, red berries and pears, and a long, spicy finish.
