1770 Glasgow Single Malt Triple Distilled is a single malt from The Glasgow Distillery, labelled Release No. 1 and bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. After triple distillation the spirit matured in virgin oak casks. The distillery was re-established in 2012 and is the first single malt distillery in the city since 1902. The name 1770 comes from the original Glasgow Distillery, founded in that year at Dundashill. The nose has cherry, caramel, fruit, toasted almonds, liquorice, vanilla and tea leaves. The palate is soft and elegant, with ripe pear, baked vanilla, cheesecake and spiced chocolate, and the finish is long and clean with honey and vanilla.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
