1770 Glasgow Triple Distilled Release No.1 (50cl)

This is a triple distilled single malt Scotch whisky from the Glasgow Distillery Company, in a 50cl bottle. The company was founded in 2014, and the 1770 name pays tribute to the first distilleries in Glasgow. The nose combines dried dark fruit and tropical notes with sponge cake, oak and freshly cut grass. On the palate come sweet caramel, a touch of crème brûlée, pear, dried figs, dates and raisins, followed by almond, honey and buttery pastry. The finish is long, with orange marmalade and nutmeg over woody notes and light spice.
