This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is made to the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which requires a single distillation season at one distillery, at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottling at 100 proof.
The mash bill is high in rye, and the bourbon is matured in new charred American white oak barrels.
It is usually described as showing caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, dark fruit and warming spice.
