This is a single barrel bottling of 1792 Bottled in Bond, a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof).
It comes from one barrel and is built on the brand's high rye mash bill. The bourbon was aged for a minimum of four years in new charred American white oak, in line with the Bottled in Bond rules of one distillation season, one distiller and one distillery.
The nose brings charred oak, fresh mint, caramel apple and brown sugar with a rye spice. The palate is full, with butterscotch, vanilla and dark caramel alongside black pepper, clove and cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with coffee, charred oak and a touch of dark chocolate.
