1792 Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 98.6 proof (49.3% ABV). Each bottle comes from one barrel, hand selected by Master Distiller Danny Kahn.
It is made from a high rye mash bill and aged for a minimum of eight years in new American oak with a #3.5 char, then brought to bottling strength with water from the Tom Moore Spring.
Caramel, vanilla and toasted oak lead the nose, with red fruit and baking spice. The palate brings butterscotch, dark caramel, orchard fruit and rye spice in a rich, oily texture. The finish is long, with caramel, oak and roasted nuts.
