1792 Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 49.3% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Each bottling comes from one individually selected barrel rather than a blend of several.
The mash bill is 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% barley. The bourbon ages for a minimum of eight years in new, charred American oak in Warehouse Z, and is proofed down with water from the distillery's Tom Moore spring.
The nose is described as sweet butterscotch with ginger and Fuji apple, and the palate as caramel-forward with a nip of rye spice.
