1792 Sweet Wheat Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45.6%)

1792 Sweet Wheat is a limited edition bourbon from the 1792 range, made at the Barton distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky and bottled at 45.6% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a wheated bourbon: wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain in the mash bill, which gives a softer, sweeter character than the usual 1792 style. It carries no age statement. The nose offers vanilla, caramel and brown sugar with light spice and earthy notes. The palate is creamy and smooth, with buttered sugar, toffee, light oak and a hint of maraschino cherry. The finish is medium, with vanilla and caramel before oak and dryness arrive.
