The Hip-Hop Blend is a Kentucky straight bourbon from 2XO, bottled at 52% ABV (104 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Blender Dixon Dedman created it as the seventh release in the 2XO Collectibles Series, using his double-barrelling process, Two Times Oak.
It was inspired by the Sugarhill Gang and their track Rapper's Delight, and is made in small batches.
The nose offers vanilla bean, toasted oak, caramel and baking spice, with brown sugar and warm grain behind. On the palate come caramel, toasted oak, vanilla cream, dark honey and light spice. The finish is long and smooth, with oak spice, caramel and soft vanilla.
