A'Glac Charrann is a 27 year old single malt from the Imperial distillery, bottled by Secret Speyside. It was matured in American oak barrels and bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
Imperial was opened in 1897 and closed for good in 1998, so the whisky comes from a distillery that no longer operates.
The nose is very sweet, with ripe pear, honey, vanilla custard and cherry jam. On the palate come red apple, blackcurrant and orange chocolate, mixed with hazelnut and lemon drizzle. The finish is sweet and gently spiced.
