This is a 31 year old single malt Scotch from the Imperial distillery, bottled by The Single Malts of Scotland as a Director's Special. It comes from a single barrel and was bottled at 44.1% ABV, giving an outturn of 154 bottles.
The nose opens with strawberry jellies and dried honeysuckle, then key lime pie with sugared cream and marshmallows. On the palate are raspberry coulis, meringue, lychee, a little baking spice, set honey and a hint of Earl Grey tea. The finish is warm and silky, with cinnamon sweets, desiccated coconut, milk-chocolate mint creams and a touch of almond extract.
