Aalborg Nordguld Akvavit (70cl, 40%)

Aalborg Nordguld is an akvavit launched in 2007 and aged in sherry casks. Its name refers to amber, sometimes called the gold of the North, as it contains a distillate of amber alongside distillates of caraway and dill seed. The palate opens with discreet caraway and elegant sweet vanilla. The finish brings out the amber, which recalls rosemary, pine needles and resin. The rounded flavour suits salted and smoked food, such as smoked salmon or a potato on bread with bacon.
