Aberargie – Expressions Laureate Single Malt Whisky (70cl)

Aberargie Expressions Laureate is a Lowland single malt from Perthshire, distilled entirely from Laureate barley grown on the distillery's own farm. It is sold in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry butts. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour. The nose brings honeysuckle, orchard fruit, golden syrup and orange marmalade, with toasted barley and soft oak spice. On the palate it is rich and waxy, with vanilla custard, poached pears and dark raisins, plus gentle pepper. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, butterscotch and oak tannins.
