Aberargie – Golden Promise Expression Bottled 2026 (70cl, 48.2%)

Aberargie Golden Promise Expression is a Lowland single malt made entirely from Golden Promise barley, a historic variety with a long association with Scotch whisky. It was bottled in 2026 at 48.2% in a 70cl bottle. It follows the Aberargie Inaugural Single Malt 2026 as one of two new expressions created to show the distillery's choice of barley. The whisky was matured in 68% first fill bourbon casks and 32% first fill sherry butts, so bourbon leads the maturation. It is described as rich and indulgent, with buttery pastry, baked orchard fruits and gentle spice.
