Aberargie Laureate Cask Selection – Bourbon Barrels & Sherry Butts (70cl, 48.2%)

Aberargie Laureate Cask Selection is a single malt made entirely from Laureate barley, grown on the family farm where the distillery stands. The distillery, south of Perth, began production in 2017 and keeps every stage from barley to bottling under its own control. The whisky was matured in first-fill sherry butts (68%) and first-fill bourbon barrels (32%). The sherry casks bring dried fruit, candied orange peel and a gentle sweetness, while the bourbon barrels add softer notes. It is bottled at 48.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
