Aberargie Laureate is a single malt from the Expressions Range, made entirely from Laureate barley grown on the Morrison family's farms. It is bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle, as a limited edition.
It matured only in first-fill casks, 68% sherry butts and 32% bourbon barrels, which gives a clear sherry influence and a honeyed finish. The colour is warm gold with an amber shimmer.
The nose offers candied orange peel, dried fruit and ripe orchard fruit. The palate is fruity and elegant, with dried fruit, gentle sweetness and a clear structure, and the finish is long and honeyed with well-balanced cask spice.
