Aberdeenshire Single Malt from Little Brown Dog (70cl, 46%)

This is the first Aberdeenshire single malt from Little Brown Dog, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled at Glen Garioch Distillery and is an unpeated Highland malt in a balanced, old-fashioned style. It is natural colour and not chill filtered. It was vatted from 60% first-fill bourbon barrels and 40% oloroso and PX sherry casks, both refill and first fill. The nose offers tinned peaches, apricot Danish pastry and bramble jelly. On the palate come toffee apple, custard with pears and fresh fig. The finish brings marmalade, pain d'épice and fresh roast coffee.
