Aberfeldy 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled in 2004 and finished in Pomerol red wine casks. It was released in 2019 as a limited edition in the distillery's Exceptional Cask series, at 59.7% ABV.
The nose combines honey, heather, ripe blackberry, plum compote and soft vanilla with toasted oak, milk chocolate and baking spices. The palate brings runny honey, caramelised apples, black cherries and damsons, with cinnamon, nutmeg and silky oak tannins. The finish is long and warming, with dark fruits, gentle spice, cocoa and honeyed sweetness.
