The whisky matured in a refill sherry hogshead for the full 14 years.
The nose offers lightly spiced fruit cake, orange peel and roast hazelnut, with red apple, oak and a hint of chocolate. The palate is smooth and sweet, with intense orange marmalade, stewed red fruits, spice and toasted oak. Milk chocolate and garden mint linger in a spiced finish.
