This is a 21 year old single malt from Aberfeldy, a Highland distillery that has been producing whisky since 1898. It was aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon oak casks.
The nose is honey, ripe fruit and toasted oak. The palate is creamy, balancing sweetness and dryness, with honey, vanilla and dried fruit followed by subtle spice and a gentle smokiness. The finish is long, with lingering oak and a touch of citrus.
